Carpet and particle board gone
Today I came home once again to another surprise - Erik had taken out the old carpet upstairs and started tearing up the particle board. It's already starting to look better!
As you can see in the pictures, the hallway closet and first bedroom had matching carpet and hot pink/lime walls. What you can't tell from the pictures is the smell in the hallway and bedroom. Not to get gross, but you didn't need to see the carpet to be able to tell it had been there a while. Unfortunately, this also applied to the particle board, which is why we had to tear it up and replace it completely.
