We have several little gardens in our back yard, one of which was overgrown with weeds and a couple saplings. There was also a metal garden edge and a few stakes buried fairly deep - which was definitely a hazard whenever we played fetch with Norris. After two days of yard work, the weeds, edging and stakes are all dug up and we are ready to add some topsoil and plant grass. #renovation #outdoor #garden #yard #backyard

My brothers had come over to help dig up more rocks along our fence line. We repurposed the growing pile of stones into a fire pit base for the bowl my parents gave us. I love little projects like this that we are able to finish together. The accomplishment is definitely rewarding and gives us that little push of motivation to keep tackling the bigger jobs. #outdoor #fire

Yesterday we also had several avian visitors. First the crane and duck family caught my attention... ...then the pelicans arrived. At one point there were about 5 fishing around the dam. #outdoor #birds #nature #lake
